Sight is an important sense that develops gradually after birth, which is why eye exams are recommended annually after a child turns 6 months old. At 6 months, a child’s vision becomes sharper, and they are able to distinguish more shapes, colors, and objects further away from their face. While schools generally offer vision screenings at different points of elementary school, it’s often not as comprehensive as it needs to be. You can trust that the pediatric eye exams conducted here at Dr. Miller & Dr. Tilis Family Optometry will be done carefully and thorough.
A child’s vision will continue to change dramatically throughout childhood, so regular eye exams can catch issues sooner, making them less severe and easier to treat. As with all of our patients, we want you and your child to feel comfortable and at ease during a pediatric eye exam. We treat your family like our family, and we are happy to address any questions and concerns you many have.
At Dr. Miller & Dr. Tilis Family Optometry, we offer pediatric eye exams to residents of Bradford, Newmarket, and East Gwillimbury, Ontario.
