Emergency Eye Clinic, Newmarket, ON
Urgent ocular problems should never be ignored. Whether you’re dealing with a sudden change in your vision, pain in your eyes, or another problem, it’s important to get into an emergency eye clinic as soon as possible. If you live in Aurora, Ontario, you can always visit Dr. Miller & Dr. Tilis Family Optometry. In addition to many optometric services, we offer an emergency eye clinic for urgent issues. The hours for urgent ocular care are 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. on weekdays, and we leave this time available to treat critical needs for our patients. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, you must call ahead for an appointment, but we promise to get you in as soon as possible!

Some of the most common issues we treat during our emergency hours include flashes of light in vision, pain in one eye that will not go away, floaters appearing in the line of sight, blurred or distorted vision that comes on suddenly, and irritation of the eye or eyelid. Any of these problems is concerning and warrants a visit to our emergency eye clinic, where one of our doctors can take a closer look and determine next steps.

Ignoring an urgent eye problem or waiting for it to go away on its own can be very dangerous. You could end up with further damage or problems that can no longer be treated with conservative options. In some cases, patients who wait too long end up having to go in for surgery or worse, lose their vision permanently. The health and functionality of your eyes are very important, so address any issues at our emergency eye clinic as soon as possible.

At Dr. Miller & Dr. Tilis Family Optometry, our emergency eye clinic serves residents of Aurora, Newmarket, Bradford, and East Gwillimbury, Ontario.
