Dr. Angela Miller
Dr. Miller graduated from the University of Waterloo in 2005, where she earned a double major Honours Degree in Biology & Chemistry, and Doctorate in Optometry. During her studies she interned at Houston Eye Associates completing a rotation with ophthalmologists in corneal disease and retinal pathology.
As a student she worked in diabetic research at the University of Waterloo and Toronto Western Hospital and co-authored two medical journal publications. Dr Miller is a member of the Ontario Association of Optometrists. She enjoys all aspects of her job but has a special interest in pediatrics, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma and inflammatory eye diseases.
Dr. Miller grew up in Sarnia and has worked in the Newmarket area since 2007. She enjoys playing and coaching soccer, ball hockey and spending time with her husband and two young children.
Dr. Ruzana Tilis
Dr. Tilis graduated from the University of Toronto with a degree in Honors Histology and Biochemistry. She then went on to optometry school at the University of Waterloo and graduated in 1999. During her schooling she completed an internship in Baltimore with ophthalmologists working in glaucoma and diabetes.
Following graduation Dr. Tilis worked alongside an ophthalmologist for 3 years and with 2 LASIK surgery centres. She then worked in the Newmarket area for 11 years in private practice.
Dr. Tilis has a special interest in pediatrics, glaucoma and diabetes management. Dr.Tilis speaks English & Russian and she enjoys travelling, reading and spending time with her twins and her husband.
